1. When a man rises from the dead and comes to the generaljudgment, he will know all the sins he has committed in hislifetime. St. Augustine says this complete remembrance of allone's sins will be conferred on each person by God's power;it will be a special gift for the occasion. The judgment willbe most perfect, and therefore the accuser, the witness, thedefendant must know all that is to be judged. Each man'sconscience is like a book that contains an accurate and detailedrecord of his life. And at judgment, the books will be opened(Apoc. 20:12).
2. At the last judgment, each person will know, not onlyhis own sins, but the sins of every other person. For in thisjudgment, God's justice is to be manifested to all.
3. This special knowledge of one's sins and the sinsof all mankind will not be acquired by some time-consuming process, but will be as knowledge that is acquired at a glance.
"If, devout soul, it is your will to please God and live a life of serenity in this world, unite yourself always and in all things to the divine will. Reflect that all the sins of your past wicked life happened because you wandered from the path of God's will. For the future, embrace God's good pleasure and say to him in every happening: "Yea, Father, for so it hath seemed good in thy sight." "
St Alphonsus de Liguori

"It is better to be burdened and in company with the strong than to be unburdened and with the weak. When you are burdened you are close to God, your strength, who abides with the afflicted. When you are relieved of the burden you are close to yourself, your own weakness; for virtue and strength of soul grow and are confirmed in the trials of patience."
St John of the Cross, OCD - Doctor of the Church

"Whom do you seek, friend, if you seek not God? Seek him, find him, cleave to him; bind your will to his with bands of steel and you will live always at peace in this life and in the next."
St Alphonsus de Liguori
