60. Uxoricide as Impediment

1. Uxoricide is wife-murder. This most horrible crimenever has justification, even if a husband discovers his wife inthe very act of committing adultery.

2. A man who kills his wife with the moral or physicalconcurrence of another woman whom he intends to marry, incurs adiriment impediment (of crime) which makes the proposedmarriage impossible. The same is true of a wife who plots and actswith an unlawful lover to cause her husband's death.

"It is better to be burdened and in company with the strong than to be unburdened and with the weak. When you are burdened you are close to God, your strength, who abides with the afflicted. When you are relieved of the burden you are close to yourself, your own weakness; for virtue and strength of soul grow and are confirmed in the trials of patience."
St John of the Cross, OCD - Doctor of the Church
